AIRBUS POLAND AIRCRAFT WILL AGAIN PROTECT POLISH FORESTS

The Airbus Poland Air Services Division from Mielec won contracts for fire protection in 2021 for forest areas administered by nine regional Directorates of State Forests: from Białystok, Gdańsk, Katowice, Lublin, Olsztyn, Poznań, Radom, Warsaw and Wrocław, through a tender conducted by the General Directorate of State Forests (GDLP).

AIRBUS POLAND HAS HANDED OVER TO THE POLISH AIR FORCE THE GLIGHT SIMULATOR FOR PZL-130 TC-II ORLIK TRAINER AIRCRAFT

Airbus Poland handed over to the 41^st Training Aviation Base simulator of the PZL-130 TC-II training aircraft, designed to conduct training of pilots in conditions similar to real ones.

JOHANNES VON THADDEN BECOMES THE NEW CEO OF AIRBUS POLAND

1 December 2020 Johannes von Thadden has been appointed the new President of the Management Board and the Managing Director of Airbus Poland S.A., a Polish subsidiary of Airbus Defence and Space. He will lead Airbus’ professional team of nearly 800 employees in one of Poland’s largest aerospace companies, including production, maintenance, repair and overhaul operations for Airbus fixed-wing military and civil aircraft, supervise the aviation services in the Mielec branch and supporting Poland’s space ambitions.

AIRBUS POLAND HELPS SAVING BIEBRZA NATIONAL PARK

The crews of Airbus Poland S.A. PZL M-18B “Dromader” aircraft since April 20th have been participating in extinguishing fires in the Biebrza National Park, in places that cannot be reached by fire-fighting vehicles. Only on April 21st they performed 24 missions with water discharge, staying in the air for over 23 hours in total.

DELIVERY OF JUICE HARNESSES

Airbus Poland has successfully delivered the first flight standard harnesses to the JUICE mission space probe to the client.

FUTURE SPACE ACCELERATOR FINAL

On January 29th, 2020, Demo Day Future Space Accelerator took place, during which all startups participating in the program gave final presentations summarizing what happened in the last three months.

AIRBUS PARTICIPATED IN MSPO 2019

Over 620 companies from 31 countries participated in this year’s edition of MSPO 2019, the largest fair in this part of Europe. Airbus Group, the parent entity of Airbus Poland S.A., also presented its activities in Kielce, during the 27th International Defence Industry Exhibition MSPO.

CONTRACTS FOR A400M CARGO HOLD TANKS AND ELECTRICAL HARNESSES FOR THE ESA BIOMASS MISSION SIGNED

On 30 January 2019, CEO Manuel Heredia Ortiz signed two contracts with Airbus, engaging Airbus Poland in the production of the A400M cargo hold tanks and harnesses to the Biomass satellite.
