We have successfully completed design and manufacturing of CCRT prototype 1 (Cargo Compartment Removable Tank) dedicated to complete wet contact test of C295 aircraft in role of Aerial Refueling.

Tanker that has been delivered to Getafe plant the 19th of November 2018.
CCRT is our Build to Spec project designed and produced in PZL „Warszawa-Okęcie”. CCRT is full parametric designed in CATIA V5 CAD system that allowed to optimize structure based on results of full stress FEM analysis.
We also performed Fatigue estimation of CCRT that allow to obtain Permit to Fly for this system.
Concurrent engineering roles were used for efficient and effective cooperation between Design, Manufacturing Engineering, Programs, Procurement and Production. That was the key to success of our CCRT Build to Spec project.
CCRT structure was optimize to use technology typical for light aircraft and “wet wing” technology used in to our turboprop trainer ORLIK.
During the industrialization process all machined parts have been provided by current PZL „Warszawa-Okęcie” supply chain, all sheet metal parts manufactured in house and some of equipment parts provided by ADS.
Assembly process was developed according to Out of Jigs technology using machined parts as bases.
Integration of system equipment was performed together by our workers and ADS engineers only in 3 days.
Finally the leakage test has been successfully performed.
First prototype will be used for functional test on the ground and in flight.
Second tank will be used for structural test and it’s going to be delivered to Getafe plant the 28th of December 2018.
